South Downs National Park
The South Downs National Park covers an area of 627 square miles. The South Downs includes some of the most varied and stunning landscapes in the country.
From Gallops Farm you can explore some of the 2,000 miles of walking trails on the South Downs! The 160km South Downs Way National Trail can be accessed via footpaths within a 15 minute walk of the farm.

Worthing - 5 miles
Worthing sits at the centre of five miles of flat seaside promenade. The classic British seaside has an award winning pier which gives panoramic views of the Sussex coast from Selsey Bill to the Seven Sisters.
Pulborough Brooks (RSPB) nature - 8 miles
Enjoy a walk at this beautiful reserve and get close to nature. With four hides and three viewpoints watch as swallows feed low over the fields and be amazed by the sound of churring nightjars across the heath land. Then return to Gallops Farm to see if you can spot our resident Kestrels, Barn Owls and Little owls.
Arundel - 10 miles
Sitting above the River Arun, Arundel combines quaint with cosmopolitan offering lovely little restaurants, antique shops, canoeing, boating lake and lido. The Gothic Cathedral and Arundel Castle, open seasonally dominate the skyline.
Brighton - 16 miles
Brighton is a vibrant mix of seaside and city with history, heritage, a buzzing arts scene, unique and diverse shopping and a colourful nightlife. You're never far from the sea and the beach bohemia vibe that makes the city so different.
Petworth & Petworth Park - 17 miles
A small town with a reputation for antique shops. There are around 30 dealers based in the town offering exquisite items, with price tags to match.
Petworth Park, home to Petworth House
Set in 700 acres Petwork Park has a magnificent herd of fallow deer you can get quite close to. They were reportedly hunted by Henry VIII on his visit to Petworth in the 1500s. Today around 900 of them grace the parkland. The scenery is beautiful with a picturesque lake and ancient trees. Combine a walk around the park with a pub lunch at The Welldiggers Arms for a relaxing day out.
Goodwood - 19 miles
The Goodwood Estate is a major sport and leisure venue featuring Goodwood Racecourse and Goodwood Circuit. The grounds of Goodwood house play host to the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Chichester - 20 miles
Brimming with arts and culture and steeped in two thousand years of history, the cathedral city of Chichester is intimate, traditional and cultural. Chichester is made for exploring with history on every corner.
