The Wiston Estate Winery and Vineyard
The Wiston Estate Vineyard is situated on a south facing chalk slope of the South Downs, overlooked by our luxury glamping lodges. The South Downs National Park has seen an English sparkling wine revolution and Wiston Winery is an exemplary example of how English Sparkling Wine is rivalling some of the best Champagnes from the Côtes des Blancs region.
From South Downs Rural Retreats, a scenic 25 minute walk will get you to the Winery. Wine tours are available daily or the exquisite Chalk Restaurant is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Ridgeview
Ridgeview is family run, established over 20 years ago with a vision to create a world class English sparkling wine and now produces more than a quarter of a million bottles of the finest bubbles.
Ridgeview has one of England’s only bespoke underground sparkling wine cellars. Ridgeview welcomes visitors everyday and is approximately a 30 minute scenic drive through the downs from South Downs Rural Retreats.
Nyetimber
Over the past 30 years, Nyetimber wines have achieved global acclaim, winning international awards and blind tasting competitions, as well as being recognised by some of the world’s most celebrated wine experts.
The Nyetimber Estate is in a beautiful setting in the the rural village of West Chiltington. They open days from May through to August.
